We offer the following interpreting services:
- sworn interpreting – our interpreters accompany our clients during the signing of notary's deeds, documents issued by administrative authorities and other such crucial occasions
- standard – consecutive interpreting: negotiations, sales
- standard – simultaneous: conferences, meetings.
Consecutive translation
Consecutive interpreting comes into play at every possible type of meeting, such as, for example, conferences, negotiations and business meetings. The interpreter either renders the speaker's words into the target language once the speaker has finished or in the pauses which occur while he or she is speaking. The basic unit of calculation for this type of interpreting is a period of two hours.
Simultaneous translation
Simultaneous translation is used for conferences and meetings attended by large numbers of people. The interpreters, seated in special booths, listen to the original text through headphones and convey it, rendered into another language, to the listeners. Simultaneous interpreters work in pairs, changing over approximately every 15 minutes. One of the most challenging tasks in the field of translation, simultaneous interpreting demands that those providing the service not only have an extraordinary knowledge of the source language, as well as the target language and subject-specific vocabulary; they also need to be particularly capable of handling stressful situations and to be impeccably prepared for every assignment.
No single interpreter can be an expert in every field, which is why, at INTERLANG, we carefully match the interpreter to the assignment - every time.
